Custom Structures
When building a structure, players will often want to customize the shape, size, and purpose of different buildings. Using the rules below, custom buildings can easily be achieved.
Requirements:
You need a foundation before anything can be built on top. A foundation can be made out of dirt.
Every floor above the 1st requires supports.
Wall supports are attached to the wall below.
Pillars can be placed anywhere in a room.
Support beams are run between walls or pillars to support the floor above.
Every hour of construction allows you to build a 5ft x 5ft foundation, 5ft x 5ft floor, 1 square worth of supports, etc.
1 hour = 1 square worth of work.
These pieces can be made from any solid material that DM allows, this is why all material costs are listed as 'material' instead of specifying a specific building material.
