Dying

If a character drops below 1 health, they are rendered unconscious and gain the dying status.

Each rotation, on their turn, the character must make a death save.

A death save is an SR 10 roll, no skill or attribute affects this.

On success the character remains in the dying state.

On failure they character loses 1 death save.

If a character fails 3 death saves, they die.

Each time a character gains the dying status within a week, they have 1 fewer death save before they die, to a minimum of zero.

If a character takes damage while dying, they must immediately make a death save.

All death saves are regained after going 1 full week without gaining the dying status.

As a full action, a character can aid an adjacent target with the dying status by making an SR 25 Medicine roll.

  • On success, the target does not need to make a death save on their next turn.

  • On failure, the target has -1 on their next death save.

This SR is reduced by 10 if the character has the Medicine proficiency.

If a character with the dying status is healed enough to restore them to above 0 health, they lose the dying status and are instead unconscious.
